Delightful to share your joy in these endeavours. After a lifetime of avoiding ādiyā I discovered, 2 years ago, that I love doing rudimentary things with wood. Along with the meadow project, of which you know. Next āprojectā is a wood store frame. Keep doing your thing šŖ
You had better share some pictures and process of that wood store frame! Wood always frustrates me a bit, but it is something I really appreciate. Good carpentry is just so impressive, perhaps in part because I know I would have accidently split the piece or ripped a chunk out of an end four or five times to get the result :D
Youāre right about good carpentry. I donāt do good carpentry. Or even, really, carpentry. I cut things & screw them into a vague semblance of something I want āŗļø
Baby steps man, baby steps :D It isn't so much the end product that matters, but the things you learn along the way that make you think "The next time I do this, it will be so much better." That, and a whole lot of Youtube videos, will have you making some really cool stuff in no time, and having fun while cursing through a haze of saw dust :D
Happy Birthday!! š
I'll make knives if I want to
You can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't like knives
And if they don't like knives
Well, they're no friends of mine
Best song about a knife is still from Space Ghost:
I'm a knife
Knifin' around
cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut
But now I have
"You can knife if you want to,
You can leave your friends behind.
Cause your friends' don't knife
and if they don't knife,
well, they're no friends of mine"
running on repeat in my head :D
