Thanks :) I am hoping to do a little more curly, decorative work as I get the hang of things. The bick should help with that as my anvil horn is sort of blunt and oddly shaped, making a more versatile add on desirable.
Short term I am going to try to make some little decorative stocking hangers with some curly hooks and decorations for Christmas. Might be fun!
Man, I can't imagine how awkward life must be in the EU now, with the lack of movement a shortage of fuel drives. Or prevents from driving, I suppose. Are you ok at least for local stuff, like work and food? What's your winter situation looking like?
I suppose 1200 km south is going to be a little more bearable to winter in than 1200 km north...
I am glad you enjoyed the post. I can't send gas through the internet, but I will do what I can with soothing work logs :)
Now I feel bad for forgetting the world of difference between news in Europe & the US 🤠
I’m only talking about a strike currently affecting French filling stations. I managed to fill up today, at the 4th place I tried, so I’m setting off back north on Friday.
Honestly, life in Europe is lovely. And I wish the strikers success. That’s how we roll in these here parts (we’re mostly basically damned commies, man) 😂
Ooooh that makes sense. I was thinking "fuel strike" was sort of an odd phrase, and just assumed it meant some sort of restriction on how much you could get or something. That gas station workers would go on strike was not even something that occurred to me as a possibility :)
(Most small US gas stations are owner operated, and those that aren't are not generally unionized. Plus most pumps are automatic now so you don't even have to have people working to get gas.)
Beautiful Fishcalibur sword! Love Ouroboros Snek.

The hypnotic quality of finding yourself in these endeavours always comes through in your writing, Doc H. I find it oddly soothing.
I have things to make, at home 1,200km north of my current location. But there is a fuel strike and I can’t fill up. Such is life here in 🇫🇷

It's refinery workers here, so the fuel isn't reaching us. I've got enough now to get halfway home so this weekend's journey could be interesting 🤠
Oh crap. Keep us posted!
