I love it. Skills! Skills. Is there any reference material you recommend? Not that I am going to try to pick up welding, but it is fascinating to me and I would like to know more.

Blackbear Forge and Old Hickory Forge are two good YouTube channels for instruction, and there’s a pretty handy book The Fifty Dollar Knife Shop that is alright. I found an old shop metalworking textbook from the early 90s that was pretty good at the library, though I can't recall the name now. For welding in general, there's a handful of youtube videos that were useful, but none really notable by itself.

Glad you enjoyed it :) I keep trying to think of making Tonic 7 themed knives, but somehow tonic and blade has a hard time lining up in my head :D

Lovely to read, as ever. That rosewood is especially beautiful.

I just finished reading Matthew Crawford's 'The World Beyond Your Head' and he talks a lot about contact with the physical world being instrumental in helping us to individuate in a suffocating culture of 'ideas'. I recognise how psychologically healthy these endeavours are.
