I need to get around to finding an editor for my dissertation and releasing it as a short(er) book one of these days. It bothers me that so many look at state sponsored aid as a moral necessity when in fact it is not conducive to moral sentiments between parties. I think that recognition is important to understanding why it is such a contentious issue and why it doesn't ever go away or solve (or even much improve) the problem it proports to address.
I found the final point in the essay particularly insightful in demonstrating why language matters.
