I spent around 8 hours at the forge and in the shop today, so I have stuff to post and no where near the capability to do so now.
But I thought I would toss up a picture of what happens when this just take forever to get up to the proper temperature…
I really wanted to hang that ballpeen where the needle nose pliers ended up, but it was just far too heavy, and I couldn’t reach the 8 oz. one without moving everything. Looking now, though, I really missed an opportunity… the wire brush could totally have been balanced on the 3 lb. cross peen’s handle like a mohawk.
The picture shows one of my favorite things about blacksmithing...
That being how many of the tools used are made by the smith.
